This time I will respectfully side with the author. I do not believe you would have been this critical of a Palestinian film. Not even if you had taken it upon yourself to report on another`s short commings.
There is a difference between `not how I would have made it` & `propaganda.` This film deals with many issues such as blame in the ways artists do this. By presenting the individual. Their concerns. Their shortcomings. Their pain. The film is about a 19 year old soldier, not the Minister of Defence. It deals with the issues that need to be discussed, makes relatively few moral judgements & is aimed at the israeli public.
Calling it propaganda is sensationalist rubbish that should be beneath Gideon. I am disappointed. |
