Dear Billy Jack, in case you haven`t noticed, the people of Israel (like most democracies) have conflicting views and serious criticism of their government (whether its right wing or left wing). So, while you may or may not agree with any particular Israeli policy, it is factually incorrect to say that there is no self-critique nor introspection. The issues on the table are very difficult and not easily resolved by anyone. It doesn`t take a genius to understand that frightened people react differently than those who are secure. The trick in the Middle East is to persuade people that they will be more secure by taking moderate actions rather than extreme ones! Wish us luck, cause we`re going to need it! |
