The two state solution was proposed and rejected twice by the Palestinians. When it appears that the Palestinians are willing to make peace then the Israelis elect leaders that are willing to give up land for peace. When the Palestinians appear to have no intention of living side by side with Israel then the Israelis see no point in making concessions and elect Sharon (who later was willing to trade land for peace) and Netanyahu.
So as long as the Palestinians are not giving Israel motivation to make concessions then concessions aren`t made. |
