| NOT witheld as "confidential"! that`s ONE reason why the general public, especially in the united states, is largely ignorant to the realities of the middle-east conflict. the same sorts of reports are prepared on a regular basis by the u.s. state department for congress and the white house. reports that, without a doubt, are largely unread by our "prestigious" representatives in washington. the sad thing is, these reports in the u.s. are a matter of public record and are readily available to the public and the media; yet seldom a whisper of their content is reported to the public. america was probably exposed MORE to israeli oppression of the palestinian people in the 3 weeks of its offensive in gaza, than it has been over the last 40 years of its progressive injustice. hopefully the hillary/obama commitment to resolving the issue will at last bring it towards the forefront of media attention, which will provide the american public the exposure to "whole" picture that been KEPT from it for so long. |
