| What is it that Netanyahu is offering? Less than 50% of the West Bank. Surely this is not a serious proposition? If Bibi goes forward with this than not only is the peace process over but support for Israel throughout the world will surely disappear. With it our security and our long term survival. And with a decent administration in Americe no longer beholden to the Christian right and thus synchophantically following everything Israel does because of their own long term plans for our demise, we are in deep trouble. The settlements are illegal period. We can not survive as a pariah state. Without the huge subsidies from the USA we cannot survive anyway. Surely the price for continuing settlement expansion must be the loss of that financial support and then where are we? |
