On the one hand, your article highlights the most appalling behavior by IDF soldiers -- the wanton killing and destruction that is bound to occur when you put absolute power in the hands of people who`ve been trained not to see the people around them as human beings.
On the other, it`s always refreshing to see the face of Israel that genuinely cares about doing the right thing -- the side of Israel that uses the misdeeds of others as a reminder to listen to our own core values, rather than as an excuse to ignore them.
I hope and pray that the side with a conscience wins out, both in Israel and in Palestine. |
