I`m just curious to know if there is any chance those individuals who were spreading the rumor Obama was a closet Muslim will now say he is Jewish?
I seriously doubt that because those who were spreading that false rumor were Jewish groups on the Republican side. I think it`s great he is breaking ground with the sedar meal at the White House. Will anyone criticize such a gesture? I doubt it. Will that be the same if he was to have a meal in observance of Ramadan on Eid al-Fitr?
Well, I can hear the echo chamber now - from Fox news on down to Michael Savage to the extremist Jews on this board and Jpost forum. Ain`t life grand where words like "tolerance and respect" are applied selectively to the point of losing their meaning. Only time will tell if this gesture was a genuine expression of respect and tolerance and not a political move. If he does celebrate Ramadan with Muslims at the WH, I will be curious to watch the reaction of the right - including those in Israel? |
