...The United States is not a theocracy, it is a representative democratic constitutional republic.
Unlike Israel, the US has a Constitution and a Bill of Rights that clearly spells out that this country is friendly to all religions or to none.
(Israel can never attain this goal because it wishes to be a theocracy to the exclusion of all things Muslim.)
As a matter of fact, many people in the US are leaving organized religion in droves precisely because of the divisiveness promulgated by so-called "conservatives" who would rather wage a culture war against gay people and women rather than be concerned about real issues, such as the life and death matter of Israel endangering the world with its continued intransigence and unwillingness to follow the laws that other nations must follow.
Of course, time is up though. |
