Without a negotiated and coordinated action with the PA, such a more could easily prove disasterous for Palestinians and Israelis. Even a little bit of talking and coordinating can avoid monumental misunderstandings and avoid future war.

The Lebanon and the Gaza unilateral moves produced no joy precisely because nobody competent was left in charge of the remaining population and the power vacuum was filled by anarchy. In Lebanon, the remaining population had freedom, but no law. In Gaza, the remaining population got neither freedom nor law or order. Freedom only works with law and order.

Anarchy provides freedom, nor law, nor order.

Yes some withdrawal will be needed to achieve peace, but only under the controlled circumstances of a negotiated move where power and authority is transferred in a deliberate manner.

If no authority is yet competent, the transfer should be limited to the extent the authority and GOI agree competence exists. Arbitrate disagreements.
