| It takes very great courage to undertake a moral, healing mission such as Pope Benedict XVI has undertaken. As a child hidden in a Catholic Convent during WWII, I personaly thank the Pope for his visit to the region. It is important for us to understand the broader human context of this visit. The Pope`s words evoke the idea of the faith, hope and charity that we must share with the oppressed, hungry and ailing people of our world. I hope, one day, to be able to thank the Pope in person, (as an ordinary citizen of Israel), for his relevant moral message. His words are good enough, simple enough and clear enough for all of us to understand. One can not put words into people`s mouths...He said enough for me and my family which perished thanks to the endless, complex history of Western greed and crazed, land-grabbing, colonial kingdoms. Let us now continue with our peace process. Let`s try to make the world a better place for all of mankind. Thank you for the moral message. |
