What can you say? Natanyahu doesn`t think Israel should observe the formal undertakings to freeze settlement contruction -- that is to say, to obey the international law conventions Israel has signed.
Rather, he thinks it reasonable to suppose that Obama will continue the `informal arrangements` Israel reached with the Bush administration to the opposite effect. He feels that these `can certainly form a basis for understandings.`
No doubt he does. Whether Obama does is another question, though. |
