Many ultra-orthodox Jewish in Israel and out deny that Israel is a Jewish state (Jewish yes, state not). Will Israeli Jews, orthodox and secular, who deny that Israel is, or ought to be, "democratic" also be subject to this law? Rivlin was smart to abstain.
