| Israel elected the easiest gov`t for Obama to confront openly and directly. These hard-right nutters have very little support in even Israel, much less in the US or EU. Israel elected a pair of punching bags. There is no way Obama could get away with this level of confrontation with a Labor gov`t. But there is very little backlash here in the US for going after Bibi, the racist Lieberman, and the violent settlers. If the Israeli people think they are going to get anywhere by having Bibi, Lieberman, and the settlers try and shout down Obama, you are blindly and sadly grossly miscalculating the political math. All that this is accomplishing is to REINFORCE Obama`s position as the only correct and right position. Every anti-Obama shout-down from these people strengthens Obama`s political position. Every attack on Obama burns through valuable Israeli Political Capitol, at the exact instant that Israel needs to be BUILDING political capitol with the new US President. Stop. |
