| It is no surprise that Obama made a nice speech. He has that ability. What was disappointing is that he made a very general touchy-feely speech and inserted only one very specific policy statement; that Israel must eliminate its settlements. While I believe that most of the settlements will eventually come down, this should occur within negotiation and not unilaterally. The Palestinians proved what unilateral concessions by Israel will lead to. Simply look at Gaza. |
