There is no reason to define temporary borders, defining the permanent border is no more difficult unless Israel plans to not keep its word, so it should be permanently defined now so the settlements that must be vacated are known, Palestinian rights to West Bank water and other resources can be restored and final status talks can proceed.
Israel needs to quit looking for ways to stall as it no longer has the trust of the Palestinians, or the USA/EU for that matter, and needs to stop trying find ways to avoid what is the inevitable ending of its occupation of the West Bank and get used to existing peacefully behind essentially its pre-1967 border. |
