That Israeli politicians have the capability of driving Israel forward to establishing a two state solution. Which the majority of Israelis want. The simple fact of the matter is that Israel`s politicians are incapable of even establishing a Palestinian State wiithout fixed borders. Peres knows this, he also knows that Obama has a 70% approval rating which means he is untouchable in the United States, which is why even AIPAC is suspiciously silent on the matter, apart from getting senators sign we love Israel letters. Which is why Peres is trying to give the impression Israel is moving towards the two state solution. Even he realises without support from the United States, particularly American taxpayers the settlement enterprise is finished anyway. So here is another attempt to fudge the issue.
