| I admire John`s hope and appreciate MOE`s genuine concern for Gilad`s release but i wonder whether broader hopes for a settlement are misplaced. At camp david the Israeli`s painfully agreed to the overwhelming majority of Palestinian demands and yet no deal was done. Perhaps the palestinian leadership fears that if they have a sovereign state they wont be able to blame Jews for all their troubles anymore and will actually be held accountable for their incompetence. |
