| I say what I have to say as a Jew, a Zionist and an Israeli. I am grateful to the US for what they have given us thus far. For that we are indebted. That being said, however, it is time to stop taking the funds and show some independence. Just like a teen who becomes an adult and moves out to be on their own, it is time to stop getting an allowance. Israel, with its military technology (remember the Lavi-if you don`t, Google it) could make up for the funding by marketing its military hardware (Merkava tanks, drones, and a yet-to be-developed fighter jet). Continuing to take financial handouts has its price. As long as we do so, we will be stringed to the "puppet-master." And in my opinion, the current puppet-master is not as supportive or friendly as the previous one. |
