Obama needs some gains ( partial freezing of settlements) in order to engage the muslim world. In the meantime Obama is launching an impossible war in Afghanistan and sonner or later will be confronted with Iran. It wont take time and Obama will realize that there is nothing to do with the palestinians either. It is unlikely that palestinians will make concessions, and that will make easier for Israel to shift from the freezer to the heater in all what relates to settlement building.
No question, Israel is and will be American most reliablef ally.
In the meantime let`s join Natahlie`s satisfaction for America`s renewed "peace"initiatives in Afghanistan. Let`s not forget. Afghan casualities will receive "compensations" from the U States. |
