| Enough. Obama is simply playing it straight for once. Israel is the party that has been playing games over its settlement intentions for years. This Israeli government and many Israelis are no longer struggling to preserve a legitimate Israel -- legitimate under the Balfour Declaration and UN Partition Plan -- IN British Mandate Palestine but are now struggling to build and protect settlements, that is to acquire all of Palestine. This repudiates 60 years of official Israeli foreign policy!! It negates all of Israel`s prior agreements and its integrity. We ask the U.S. not to support Hamas fundamentalism, and rightly so. But why should anyone support Jewish fundamentalism and messianism which is what "Greater Israel" is largely about? |
