1) Israel violates Int`l Law. 2) An expert on Int`l Law calls it as he sees it i.e. Israel`s actions are illegal. 3) Leshno-Yaar dismisses that by saying that this expert is "known for his bias against Israel and anti-Israel statements". 4) Problem brushed under the carpet....
Of course, the alternative explanation is that if Israel is a SERIAL abuser of international law then an expert on those laws is going to be a SERIAL critic of Israel`s actions.
But he`s doing that *because* of his knowledge of said laws, and not *because* of any "bias" against Israel.
His "bias" is against illegal acts, because he is "biased" towards the rule of law.
Or, in short: Leshno-Yaar simply shoots the messenger.
Plays well to the Cheap Seats, sure. |
