| Does this mean that the new state of Palestine will be a state of all of its citizens? Will Jews in Palestine have the same rights demanded by Israeli Arabs in their "Future Vision" document: elimination of the Arab character of Palestine; a binational state of Palestine with a neutral anthem, flag, and emblem; establishing national, demographic, and historic equality to Jews (including the abolition of any Arab Right of Return) and the establishment of Jewish institutions and structures so that Jews will not be dependently tied to the Arab population? Will there be equal distribution of government resources, aid, and benefits, even if Jews refuse to do community service? Will Palestinian Arabs acknowledge their responsibility for their Nakba, as Israeli Arabs want Jews to do? Will Palestinians acknowledge that their country is the home of both Arabs and Jews, as Israeli Arabs demand of Israeli Jews? Will Hebrew become an official language of Palestine? We`ll see. |
