| Don`t you love the image he promotes - the forlorn courageous little Israel, no real friends, no one who loves her, facing a sea of enemies, and implied imminent demise? And of course there`s no Palestinian partner, so the future is, if not gloomy, then just the maintenance of the status quo. And who does that suit? Why Israel of course. And who nurtured Palestinian disarray? No, I did not say its all our fault, but who benefits from the inability of the Palestinians to come together and negotiate with us? And who is a real partner for the Palestinians? Who wants to negotiate with them? Israel? Netanyahu? Not likely. Just like Sharon, Netanyhau avoids negotiating because he knows that he will have to pay for the compromises that equate to a 2 state solution - the one he choked on at Bar Ilan. So, Arad denies it all. We have no Rabin, no visionary, no horizon. No partners, no will for compromises, nothing. Poor little Israel. |
