| Who says that the settlements are necessarily on "Palestinian land"? Most of that land is legally owned by Israelis and not by Palestinians. The Palestinians do not have any land in a sovereignty sense since they don`t have a state yet. On the other hand, an occupation does not transfer sovereignty either so the West Bank land is legally in a state of limbo and some of it is definitely in dispute with respect to sovereignty until the final peace agreement determines where the border is. |
