| This is simplicity itself. Is the territory seized by the IDF in 1967: 1) Israeli territory, or 2) Israeli-occupied territory? Which one, Jeff? (1) or (2)? If it is (1) then the Israeli govt can encourage, assist, promote, and bankroll the establishment of any Israeli colonies that it likes anywhere that it likes, because that is its sovereign right. If it is (2) then the Israeli govt is strictly prohibited from colonizing that territory with its own citizens. It must prevent that from happening for as long as it is the occupying power, because the duty of care that an occupying power owes is TO THE OCCUPIED, and not to the self-aggrandizement of its own citizens. To the PROTECTED PERSONS under its care, and not to Israeli carpet-baggers. So which is it, Jeff? (1) or (2)? |
