Almost as long as the settlements. Who will politically outlive the other? It i indeed deeply insultinf that Bush and Olmert were discussing issues of settlements that concern a Palestinian state which all three side said they approved. It is equally humilliating that Netanyahu and Obama are discussing it without some kind of dignifying informative channel towards areas that are -after the Bar-Ilan speech- part of the two states for two peoples official approach of the current Israeli government.
Yet Abu Mazen hasn`t been effective. He hasn`t been proactive. he hasn`t been leading his people, but riding the waves just as his mentor Arafat did. No matter how much Haaretz editorial is against Uzi Arad, he was right in signalling Palestinian failures, not ony Israeli ones. |
