Abbas: And how am I supposed to stop Israeli construction? Obama: Leave. That. To. Me. Abbas: Okey-dokey! Sure, the last two Presidents were Israeli sycophants, but why is it so difficult to comprehend that *this* President isn`t? Or that on *this* issue Abbas trusts him? You guys still don`t get it! The Americans aren`t entering into these discussions with Barak because they want to help Israel find a way to "compromise" its RM committments. They are in these discussions to make sure that MITCHELL puts the pressure on Israel that ABBAS can not i.e. they are determined that Israel **NOT** get out with this. Get it? They have stepped into that ring TO HELP ABBAS, and not TO HELP ISRAEL. |
