VIDEO / Nasrallah: Freeing Shaba won`t stop struggle against Israel

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah hinted Thursday he still wants Israel to return the remains of missing guerillas despite the 197 such bodies Israel handed over in a July prisoner swap.

In his speech, Nasrallah also stressed that even if Lebanon achieves its goal of gaining control of the Shaba Farms, Hezbollah will continue its struggle against Israel.

"We are not using Shaba as an excuse to bear weapons. If the area is freed the weapons will remain because we are talking about a defensive strategy against a threatening country such as Israel," he said.

Nasrallah reiterated his warning that organization would "defeat and destroy any enemy that attacks us."

On the issue of the Lebanese guerillas, the Hezbollah leader said "The matter of the missing is not over... We will not give up on a single one of all the resistance movements' fallen."

Nasrallh did not explain what his group would do to end the issue. "My hostility toward Israel is as great as possible, but I don't think that Israel cheated," he added, referring to the prisoner exchange with Israel in July.

Nasrallah was referring to the prisoner swap in which Hezbollah returned the bodies of abducted Israel Defense Forces soldiers Eldad Regev and Ehud Goldwasser, while Israel handed over terrorist Samir Kuntar and four Hezbollah militants, as well as the 197 bodies.

Meanwhile, Defense Minister Ehud Barak on Thursday said that the Israel is "closely monitoring what is happening on the other side." He added that the IDF has recently held, and is still holding tough training exercises.

Barak continued: "I say here, as firmly as possible, that I don't recommend that anyone tests our strength. We will work with determination in order to defend the State of Israel and its citizens in every place."

Nasrallah's comments on Thursday came as the government's counterterrorism unit warned of concrete terror threats against Israelis travelling abroad, especially in Sinai, Thailand and Turkey. The warning was based on new intelligence on Hezbollah's intentions to abduct Israelis.
