A three-year-old boy was critically injured on Saturday, after his father accidentally ran him over.

Earlier on Saturday, a Yehud teenager was critically injured when an ATV she was riding along with her father near Rosh Ha'ayin flipped over. She was treated in Petah Tikva's Beilinson hospital.

Police say the 16 year-old's father will be interrogated for negligent driving. The man has accumulated 23 traffic tickets, 13 of which for speeding.

Also on Saturday, an ATV rider was severely injured when his vehicle overturned. He was flown to Haifa's Rambam hospital by an MDA emergency medical services helicopter.

Road accidents claim two lives on Friday

On Friday, a 22-year-old was killed on the Ayalon motorway near Rishon Letzion after a truck hit him as he was fixing his friend's car on the shoulder.

Also on Friday, a 17-year-old motorcyclist was killed when a car hit him in Jerusalem.

Later that day, a 50-year-old SUV driver was severely injured when his vehicle crashed into a post in Rehovot. Police suspect he suffered from a heart attack while driving.
